History
The Montessori Learning House Bilingual School, directed by Elizabeth Alzate, began as a homeschool in July 2015. After working for years in Childcare centers and Preschools, Elizabeth realized that one of the serious issues in early education was high student-teacher ratios. She loved her profession, but she was not able to spend enough time with her students and their parents. She felt that something was missing in every classroom: a close connection between teacher and student; one on one time; a teaching style that recognizes that every child learns differently. This led Elizabeth to take a risk and open her own homeschool with her daughter and three more children. It did not take long to fill up and have a waiting list. Her school and methodology was recognized in her community. After much work and perseverance, Elizabeth decided that it was time to expand her school, and she established a location near her home in Little Elm. It was not easy, but Elizabeth was convinced that her school would change her students and their families lives for the better. Elizabeth’s passion for teaching has resulted in her dream school.

The Montessori Learning House Bilingual School empezó como una escuela en casa en julio de 2015. Después de trabajar durante años en centros de cuidado infantil y preescolares, Elizabeth Alzate se dio cuenta de que uno de los principales problemas de la educación temprana era el numero de niños en el aula de clase. Ella amaba su profesión, pero sentía que no podía pasar todo el tiempo que necesita con sus estudiantes y padres. Como madre de familia, sentía que faltaba algo en cada aula de clase, una estrecha relación entre el profesor y el estudiante, interacción uno a uno, y un estilo de enseñanza que entiende que cada niño aprende diferente. Elizabeth se arriesgó y abrió su colegio en su hogar con su propia hija y tres niños más. No le tomó mucho tiempo para estar llena y tener una lista de espera. Su escuela y metodología fue reconocida en su comunidad. Después de mucho trabajo y perseverancia, Elizabeth sintió que era hora de expandir su escuela y encontrar la ubicación más cercana a su casa en Little Elm. No fue fácil, pero Elizabeth estaba convencida de que su escuela iba a cambiar la vida de sus estudiantes y familias. Su escuela fue su sueño y su pasión es la enseñanza.
